King Mohammed VI Undergoes Eye Surgery in France

King Mohammed VI of Morocco has undergone successful pterygium surgery at the Quinze-Vingt Ophthalmology Hospital Center in Paris. Prince Sverre Magnus Breaks Ankle During Summer Holiday

Norway’s Prince Sverre Magnus has suffered a bicycle accident while on holiday in Dvergsøya, the island in Kristiansandsfjorden where the Crown Princely Family spends part of their summer holidays each year.  “I can confirm that Prince Sverre Magnus has broken his ankle after being unlucky when he was riding a bike,” the Royal Court’s Assistant Communications Manager, Sven Gjeruldsen, confirmed to VG over the weekend. No other details were given.

Prince Henrik Undergoes Groin, Pelvis Surgery

The Danish Royal Court announced on Monday that Prince Henrik has undergone surgery on his groin and pelvis, where balloon stents were placed in pulmonary arteries in the area which were blocked. The operation took place at Skejby Hospital in Aarhus. Prince Henrik is expected to be released on Wednesday. The Court had previously announced Thursday that he had been hospitalised for treatment on a leg infection.

Prince Henrik Hospitalised With Leg Infection

The Danish Royal Court confirmed on Thursday that Prince Henrik was admitted to the Aarhus University Hospital this week to receive treatment for a leg infection. He is expected to be released from the hospital by Saturday, but will not be taking part in any scheduled engagements in the next few weeks. Prince Philip Admitted to Hospital with Infection

Buckingham Palace announced this morning that the Duke of Edinburgh was last night admitted to hospital “as a precautionary measure” as he has contracted an infection from a “pre-existing condition”. The Duke is currently receiving treatment at King Edward VII hospital in London, but was not admitted as an emergency. Professor Pieter van Vollenhoven Diagnosed With Skin Cancer

The Dutch Royal Court has announced that Professor Pieter van Vollenhoven, the husband of Princess Margriet, has been diagnosed with melanoma, the most dangerous form of skin cancer.
