Dutch Crown Prince Couple meets Dutch Prime Minister

On November 10, Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima had a meeting with the new Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, at Villa Eikenhorst. The new Prime Minister was invited by the royal couple for an introductory visit. Rutte was received previously by Queen Beatrix on October 14th at Huis ten Bosch, the day he officially became the Dutch Prime Minister. Queen Beatrix then received the new cabinet.

King Abdullah Dissolves Parliament

King Abdullah of Jordan dissolved on Monday the lower house of Parliament and called for early elections. Controversial Court Ruling in Favour of Simeon Saxe Coburg

In a highly controversial ruling, the Bulgarian Court has allowed wood-cutting in the lands belonging to the country’s former Tsar, Simeon Saxe Coburg. The permission will be effective until a ban on wood-cutting, issued by the head of the State Forest Estate, comes into force. Prince Nayef named Second Deputy PM

Saudi Arabia’s Interior Minster Prince Nayef has been appointed as second Deputy Prime Minister, third in the political hierarchy after King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his brother and Defence Minister Prince Sultan.
