The funeral of Belgium’s Prince Alexandre, who died last Sunday from a pulmonary embolism, took place yesterday morning, at 11am, at the Church of Our Lady in Laeken. Princess Ferial bint Farouk of Egypt was buried on Tuesday in the Al-Rifaai Mosque in Cairo, where she was laid to rest next to her father and her sisters, Princesses Fadia and Fawzia. The man who introduced Queen Beatrix to her future husband, Count Caspar von Oeynhausen-Sierstorpff, has passed away. On new year’s eve 1962, crown princess Beatrix of the Netherlands first met Claus von Amsberg, who she would marry in 1966.
