Dutch State Visit to Germany, Day 2

On the second day of the State Visit, Queen Beatrix, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Crown Princess Maxima have a met with the Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, at the Adlon Hotel. First School Day for Princess Ariane

On Monday April 11, just one day after her fourth birthday, Princess Ariane started her first day of school. Princess Laurentien Opened an Exhibition

On Sunday March 20, Princess Laurentien inaugurated the new exhibition about ‘Kikker’ (Frog) at the Children’s Museum. The opening was also to celebrate the end of the renovation of the Children’s Museum. On February 10, Princess Maxima was present at the closure of the project BizWorld at the Christoffel school in The Hague. BizWorld is an education system in which pupils in eight primary school playfully learn to set up their own business and deal with money. On Tuesday February 1, Princess Maxima was in the province of Drenthe to be present at the launch of the Youth Programme on Healthy Weight (Jogging). Jogging is a nationwide program aimed at young people (0-19 years), their parents and their environment to reduce overweight and obesity. Drenthe is the first province to start Jogging. On January 15th, Princess Maxima attended the fifth branch of the “Weekend College” in Marcanti College in Amsterdam. Oguz Dulkadir founded the “Academy Weekend” in 2006 to young people (10-16 years) in Amsterdam West to help with their school performance.
