Crown Princely Couple visits Hungary and New York

From September 22nd to 24th, CP Haakon and CP Mette-Marit paid a visit to Hungary. They attended the opening of Pannon House in Budapest. The visit,started with a meeting with Hungarian President László Sólyom. After the meeting the couple went to Pannon House. Haakon and Mette visited Rogaland

Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit visited Rogaland on the Royal yacht “Norge” from September 1st to 3rd. On their first day the couple visited Utsira and it’s lighthouse. Mette-Marit and the “Coming-Out” Stories

Princess Mette-Marit has written the preface of a book about several ‘coming out’ stories of various Norwegians. The book is due to come out in August; and is entitled “Skapsprengerne” (in English: “Those who blow up the closet”). The book deals with tolerance and understanding for homosexuals. Yesterday, August 4th, Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the opening of the Hamsun center at Hamarøy. The opening of the Hamsun Centre in his childhood home place Hamarøy, is part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Norwegian author Knut Hamsun. Norwegian Summer Photo Session with New Puppy

Today 13 new pictures of the Crown Princely family were published at kongehuset.no. It shows Prince Haakon, his wife Mette-Marit, the three children Marius, Ingrid Alexandra and Sverre Magnus and family’s new puppy. Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit opened the annual exhibition of graduating students by the department for product design at Akershus University College, June 8th 2009. Today Norway’s little Princess Ingrid Alexandra and her mother Crown Princess Mette-Marit received the “Miljoagentparaden”, an environmental friendly manifestation, at the Royal Court in Oslo. The “Eco agents” is a childrens environment organisation. Little Princess Ingrid had collected old mobile phones, adapters and other old electric articles from the staff of the palace to recycle them. Yesterday CP Haakon, CP Mette-Marit of Norway and their staff took part in the “Holmenkollen Relay”. Their team was called “The Crown Prince Couple’s Court”. Among the participants in the relay were also the Prime Minister and the Minister of foreign affairs. The CP couple’s team finished as 123 out 227 in their class. Princess Mathilde was voted the most popular and best future Queen Consort by a poll of the French royalty magazine Point de Vue. She received 47,8% of the votes, and led the poll by a large margin. Mette-Marit of Norway at winter exercise with the Civil Defence

On March 26th Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway was seen at a winter exercise with the Civil Defense. This was the first time the Princess was seen wearing their uniform. The Princess looked healthy and relaxed. After the visit to Mexico the Crown Princess suffered from an attack of indigestion.
