A Sporty Weekend

This weekend was a sporty one for the Norwegian Royals. Many nordic sports event took place at the famous Holmenkollen outside of Oslo. On Saturday King Harald watched the 30 km free technique cross-country of the men and women and met with the Norwegian athletes afterwards. The Last Day in Malaysia

The final day of the 3-day official visit to Malaysia started with the visit to an exhibition on Norwegian architecture in Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition was officially opened by Crown Princess Mette-Marit and deals with the relationship between nature and architecture. Haakon at the World Economic Forum

Haakon and Marius attend Benefit Concert for Haiti

On January 24th 2010 Crown Prince Haakon and Marius Borg Hoiby attended a benefit concert for earthquake victims in Haiti at the Opera in Oslo. Prince Haakon was impressed by the spirit of voluntary work and told the newspaper VG that he was deeply affected by the pictures showing the destructions and misery in Haiti. FRI: Help for Former Inmates

FRI is a project that helps former inmates to return to society by offering networking, residential and work training. Representatives go into prison and start motivating people. “CARE”: Royals selling coffee and cakes

Yesterday Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit sold coffee and cakes outside their residence Skaugum for the sake of CARE.
