February 5th, 2018 marked the 200th anniversary of Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte took the Swedish throne as Carl XIV Johan (and the Norwegian throne as Carl III Johan). Swedish Royals Attend 2013 Nobel Prize Awards

On December 10, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Christina attended the Nobel Prize Awards. Also present were Countess Bettina Bernadotte and her husband Philipp Haugg. The Nobels are in memory of the Prizes’ founder, Alfred Nobel, and are a tradition for the Swedish Royal Family since 1901.
