Princess Anne of Edinburgh, later the Princess Royal, was christened on October 21, 1950 in Buckingham Palace’s Music Room by the Archbishop of York, Cyril Garbett. Her godparents were Queen Elizabeth of the United Kingdom, Princess Andrew of Greece, Princess Margarita of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, Lord Louis Mountbatten and the Honourable Andrew Elphinstone.

Prince Carlos of Bourbon-Parma Baptised in Italy

Prince Carlos Enrico Leonardo of Bourbon-Parma, son and heir of the Duke of Parma, has been baptised this Sunday in the Cathedral of Parma. The ceremony was held by the Bishop of Parma, Mgr. Enrico Solmi, with the University of Parma choir performing a number of choral pieces, including ‘Verleih uns Frieden” by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. Princess Gloria of Bourbon-Parma Baptised in Apeldoorn

The younger daughter of Prince Jaime and Princess Viktória of Bourbon-Parma was baptised today at the Onze Lieve Vrouw ten Hemelopnemingkerk in Apeldoorn. Princess Gloria, who was born on May 9, wore a christening gown made by Claes Iversen for the ceremony that was conducted by Father Tjeerd Jansen S.J. Official Photographs From Prince Alexander’s Christening Released

The official photographs of Prince Alexander with his family and godparents at his christening on Friday have been released today by the Swedish Royal Court. Four photographs taken by Mattias Edwall show the baby Prince with his parents, both sets of grandparents, his four aunts, and his five godparents.

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia have today christened their son, Prince Alexander, in a ceremony attending by close family and friends at the Drottningholm Palace Chapel. On this day in 1968, Prince Frederik of Denmark, the month-old son of Princess Margrethe and Prince Henrik and the country’s future King, was christened at the Holmens Kirke in Copenhagen. His godparents were Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte of Luxembourg, Prince Georg of Denmark, Count Etienne de Laborde de Monpezat, Baron Maximillian de Watteville-Berckheim and Birgitta Juel Hillingsø.

Prince Alexander To Be Christened On September 9

Sweden’s youngest Prince, Alexander, will be christened on Friday September 9 at the Drottningholm Palace Chapel, the Royal Court has announced today. The Chapel was the location of the christening of Alexander’s two cousins, Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas, the children of Princess Madeleine. Prince Alexander was born on April 19 and is the first child of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia.

A series of official portraits from Prince Oscar’s christening on Friday has been released by the Swedish Royal Court this morning. The photos were taken at the Royal Palace in Stockholm after the ceremony by Anna Lena Ahlstrom. The twins of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène of Monaco were christened this morning in a ceremony at the Cathédrale de Monaco.
