On May 30, Princess Maxima was in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam to attend the conference about “Impact Investing”. THAT Hat Fetches £81,000 at Auction

The much talked about, largely unliked hat that sat atop Princess Beatrice of York’s head at the April 29 wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has sold at auction for just over £81,000. Described as a “gravity-defying hat”, the Philip Treacy creation was listed on eBay last week, with the auction closing yesterday with a winning bid of exactly £81,100.01. On May 18, the day after her 40th birthday, Princess Maxima was back at work. Princess Maxima was in IJmuiden to be present at the Money Matters parade. The parade is a traveling interactive exhibition for young and old financial awareness, on how to manage money. First School Day for Princess Ariane

The Prince and Princess of Venice and Piedmont, Prince Emanuele Filiberto and Princess Clotilde of Savoy, have sponsored two boys, named Alan and Moses, from Kenya in January 2011. Queen Sonja’s School Award 2010

This year the Kaupanger school in Sogndal was awarded with the Queen Sonja’s School. The school was awarded with the price because it developed good training programs for diverse students.
