The Serbian Royal Family Joins Forces for a Good Cause
Crown Prince Alexander, Crown Princess Katherine, Hereditary Prince Peter, Prince Philip and Prince Alexander of Serbia attended a charity banquet at the “Place de la Musique” in Chicago. Also present were Crown Princess Katherine’s grandchildren Amanda and Stephanie.
The brunch, organized by Lifeline Organization, is part of the Breast Cancer Campaign. The cause is important for the Crown Princess: The Crown Princess Katherine Foundation is actively supporting breast cancer awareness campaign and encourages the Serbian women to take steps to prevent the terrible disease.
The foundation often works in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. Just recently, the foundation was able to purchase a General Electric Mobile Digital Mammography Machine worth over $900,000, thanks to generous donation from Stavros Niarchos Charitable Organization. The foundation also frequently organizes events to support the Breast Cancer Campaign.
Later that day, The Royal Family visited the grave of King Peter II of Yugoslavia, at the Saint Sava Monastery in Libertyville, Illinois. His Eminence Metropolitan Christopher of North Western America led the prayers for the late King.
