King Albert and Queen Paola of Belgium are on a three-day state visit to Romania, at the invitation of the Romanian President, Traian Basescu. Today, June 6, King Albert II of Belgium celebrates his 75th birthday. The King was born in 1934, only months after his illustrious grandfather, King Albert I of Belgium, died in Marche-Les-Dames. Belgian King and Queen at inauguration of Magritte Museum

Albert II receives Cyclo-Cross Riders in Audience

King Albert II of Belgium received the Belgian cyclocross riders who participated in the Cyclocross World Championship 2009 in Hoogerheide (NL). Among the riders also the World Champion Niels Albert, the coach of the Belgian team, the Vice President of the Belgian Cyclist federation. The audience took place at the Royal Palace in Brussels.
