I agree and honestly I think he said 'papa'. That's what it looked like to me. If you say 'papa' quickly, it's easy to miss the first syllable and just see the lips word the last 'pa'.

I think it all looks very retro vintage glamourous.

Two dresses also make sense because of the time difference in the two receptions. It would be impractical to keep on the same dress for the hours in between and most brides would not want to freshen up their hair and makeup and then put back on the same thing much later.

:previous: Very true Ista. The 1930's saw the rise of the modern brilliant cut round diamond which the tiara itself looks to be set with. The central brooch would have comprised of Old European cut (OEC) diamonds which were cut with chunkier facets and were usually lower coloured. Older stones...

The stones in the middle comprise a brooch given to QM when she married in 1893. The tiara was made to support the brooch (and I assume other central pieces) in 1932 so they were made decades apart and most likely it was difficult to replicate the exact colour etc. of all the stones.

I saw few shots of her too but in those that I did she looked a bit bored and less than pleased. Pictures online further reinforced that impression. I mean it was an hour long service...it would have been nice to see a little more enthusiasm for them. :ermm:

I think if anything the issues with the gown were around the fit...it needed to be a little more form-fitting but the cut and structure were good and in keeping with Meghan's aesthetic. I also would have liked to see a couple more small details like tiny fabric-covered buttons along the sleeve...

Maybe not in a store but honestly Stephanie's gown looks like every other Elie Saab gown that I've ever seen. And this is coming from someone who really liked that gown.

Kate's dress looks like an off-white/cream version of the one she wore to Charlotte'e christening. I thought she didn't look very happy or comfortable. :ermm:
