Oh my god, how could i forget them!!!! *hangs head in shame*, but aside from C & C and now B & L, who else, just intrigues me so much, its a rare enough occurrence in "normal" life

Prince Joachim of Denmark and Alexandra Manley: November 18, 1995

Hate the dress but she always looked the part, big hair, big dress, big trains. But i agree they never looked like a couple, you'd never have put the pair of them together in a million years.

    Royals Marrying Late In Life

Okay apart from Charles and Camilla who married in their fifties (albeit with a lengthy romantic story behind them) are their any other royal couples who've married late in life, can't think of any. I know when Queen Louise of Sweden died in 1965, King Gustav considered marrying again (i read...

    Prince Charles: Potential Prince Regent?

Over the last few months the media has been full of speculation that QEII is cutting back her duties such as the Commonwealth H of Gov meeting and delegating to PoW, potentially setting in motion a "co-monarch", whilst I can't see that happening it did get me thinking - QEII is now 87 and at an...

    Royal Orders and Decorations

Does anyone know if W A plans on handing out orders to royal guests going to his inauguration, would love to see Camilla in an Orange sash! I know in 1948 Juliana awarded Princess margaret the order of the netherlands lion when she attended her inauguration, what does anyone reckon?

Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Current Events 26: August 2010-December 2014

I'm so pleased they're going :) no offence but I get sick of seeing the Wessexes at all the big royal events, its about time C & C went to a mjor royal function! Hopefully we may get some tiara wearing and dutch orders heading Camilla's way!

The Royal Family Order (RFO) and other Royal Orders and Decorations 1: Ending 2022

With the diamond jubilee here do we think that the Queen will give some new orders out to the royal females to wear at the major events that'll happen. Perhaps Catherine will get the family order (big question mark there though) and maybe Camilla may get something (Sophie got the order of st...

Kensington Palace 1: Ending Sep 2022

Apparently Prince Harry has now moved to Kensington Palace, the daily mail say he is moving to a one bedroom flat close to william at nottingham cottage, I thought that apartment 4B that michael peat recently left was supposed to be for him? Seems like kensington palace is recieving a new...

The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall visit Denmark: March 24-27, 2012

Camilla does look great, is that the same necklace that the Countess of Wessex wore to the Swedish royal wedding? Very sad that its a no tiara affair, the distinct lack of bling has been the only negative on this trip!

Duchess of Cornwall Jewellery 7: September 2011- December 2015

Looks like the necklace Camilla is wearing tonight is either the modern diamond tiara she wore in Spain (she's also wearing the same Bruce oldfield dress she wore then) but i'm not sure if its the necklace that Sophie Wessex wore to the Swedish royal wedding, can't tell from a distance :S

The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall visit Denmark: March 24-27, 2012

I really hope so too! I'm not sure about the dinner etiquette in Denmark with the black tie = tiara question, do you reckon we may see some orders and sashes tonight?

Artemisia thats an amazing list, looking further into it Princess Margaret collected several during her life as well, the Order of the Netherlands Lion when she attended Queen Juliana's enthronement the Queen Mum also held several but not as many as Royals today. Giving and recieving Orders...

The Prince of Wales & The Duchess of Cornwall visit Denmark: March 24-27, 2012

Got to say Mary and Camilla are looking fantastic, two great showing from them. Hope tonight the dinner is a tiara event but something tells me no, probably because I hoped for the same in Norway and was proved wrong but fingers crossed ;)

Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall: Visit to Sweden - March 22-24, 2012

I read somewhere that the King is attending a engagement with some scientific organisation that has been arranged for sometime, hence his absence at the welcoming, he'll be joining them later today though and your right i don't think its usual for the Queen to welcome guests like the P of W alone.

Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall: Visit to Sweden - March 22-24, 2012

Looks like its shaping up to be as fun and relaxed as norway was :) Are there any videos of them yet? Haakon and Mette marit gave them such a warm welcome in oslo, would love to see better how they go along with prince carl philip in stockholm?

Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall: Visit to Norway - March 20-22, 2012

I know I'm bitterly disappointed with the lack of sparkle tonight in Oslo :( on the plus side Camilla looked pretty great and some great turquoise jewellry that i don't think we've seen before. Pity it seemed like a toned down evening and i had such high hopes for Norway on this trip, we already...

    Diana's Royal Orders

I thought i'd read somewhere that fergie recieved that order but i wasn't sure. The british royals do seem somewhat isolated from other royal families but Edward seems a have amassed a nice collection. Thanks for clearing this up guys :) much appreciated.

    Royal Orders and Decorations

Thats true I guess but camilla is legally the princess of wales and the next Queen of England and is equal is status to any other CP in europe. Even when Alexandra of denmark was still a royal she recieved orders and she was on the same level as sophie. Just makes little sense to me especially...

    Diana's Royal Orders

I think its pretty bad that Di was a full time working royal (and a senior one at that) for 15 years and managed to rack up only 2 orders (Order of the Crown from Beatrix and another) whilst Mette Marit and Mary hold several at least despite being royal for only half that time. Why do the...

    Royal Orders and Decorations

Looking at the Queen's "genorosity" with her orders, looks the case, it seems a real shame that Camilla, Sophie etc. aren't recognised in the same way Mette-Marit and Mary are (both of them hold severl foreign orders apiece), hopefully this will change in the next couple of years.

    Romanian Royal Jewels

It doesn't seem likely at all, when CP Margarita got married she borrowed the Essex tiara from Garrards in London, clearly the Romanians have very little jewellery left for them if CP Margarita had to borrow a tiara (albeit a stunning one) for her own wedding.

Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall: Visit to Norway - March 20-22, 2012

Apparently there will be a state dinner at the Royal Palace for the P of W and Camilla, will this be a full formal occasion do we think? Hoping camilla will get the order of st olav for the occasion. The "state dinner" makes me think this will be a tiara wearing, white tie affair.

    Camilla and The Public

I think these days Camilla has been accepted by the public and usually gets favorable coverage, although the D of Cambridge eclipses her now I think Camilla has done really well since she's been married and acted fantastically. She'll never hold the spotlight that Diana did but I think most...
