Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence, eldest son of Edward VII (1864-1892)

Well he did not have a congenital problem, he simply had a really long neck, and rather long arms. His mother had a rather long neck.

Most of Eddy's peers did not see him as "slow" or "stupid", just a bit strange at times. Eddy was also a bit of a starer and had a definate hearing problem.

Well said. I agree. Surely certain people suffered from these same symptoms and disorders in the past. People are people, then and now. Our brains function the same way theres did.

All of the 'Wales' children were very close. Eddy also got along very well with women in general. As a child and teenager, Eddy was very unattentive and uninterested when it came to studies. According to his tutors, he seemed incapable of focusing on anything that was not of the utmost...

This evening I will post about Eddy's various illnesses and "rumored" illnesses. If anyone is interested. I also have a theory that Eddy suffered from what we know call Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).

I dont know where the hair came from. Neither of her parents had had it as children...nor her brothers. It was truely unique. She was a beautiful child and young women though. heres another similar shot. My Charles looked just like his mother...and quite like her Wittelsbach family esp her...

May and the Tecks were also not very wealthy, as Royal standards went. Plus Eddy was not really seen as being much of a catch himself, in spite of being heir apparent. I love the guy...but lets face it, he had some problems. May was still a great grandchild of King George III and Queen...

Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence, eldest son of Edward VII (1864-1892)

Yes. Eddy had fallen in love with Princess Helene d'Orleans in 1890, daughter of the Comte de Paris (Pretender to the French throne), great grand daughter of King Louis Phillippe, and younger sister to Queen Amelie of Portugal. They had both wanted to marry one another very much. While...

Well Eddy would have been Joseph Sickert's grandfather not father. Jack the Ripper was certainly not Prince Eddy nor was he involved in any way. The claims that Eddy was tied to the crimes have only come out in the past few decades. He was never implicated at the time of the crimes or even in...

Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence, eldest son of Edward VII (1864-1892)

Albert Victor Christian EDWARD. The first two of his given names being of obvious origin and insisted upon by his grandmother, Christian for his grandfather Christian IX of Denmark, and Edward for his great-grandfather Prince Edward, Duke of Kent (Queen Victoria's father). He was only known...

It is also widely circulated that Eddy had a daughter named Alice with a women named Annie Cook in 1885. According to Alice's son, Joseph Sickert (whose father was the artist Walter Sickert) Eddy and Annie had been secretly married by the time of Alice's birth. Sickert's story is more than a...

The Duke and Duchess of Teck had come with their daughter May to Sandringham on Jan 4th for Eddy's birthday celebrations. May and Eddy both were there when he died on the 14th. Sandringham was not well heated and probably helped to worsen Eddy's cold which developed into the pneumonia.

Princess Mary Adelaide, Duchess of Teck & Family, "The People's Princess" (1833-1897)

This is Mary Adelaide with her youngest child, Prince Alexander George, known as Alge, not May. and a similar pose, PHOTO FOUND ON INTERNET. I think, Alge looks quite extraordinary in these photos, and VERY similar to his son Rupert as a baby and child. Mary Adelaide's grandchildren, Rupert...

    Queen Louise of Denmark (1851 - 1926)

Unfortunatly she was the spitting image of her mother, perhaps a bit prettier though. Another of her with her mother, again, NOT ORIGINALLY POSTED BY ME. :bang:...(come on...all the good photo books with her are hard to get and not in english ;).) here is also a larger version of the portrait...

    Queen Louise of Denmark (1851 - 1926)

But speaking of Queen Mary...May once described her [Louise], as "a good soul, but a little queer in the head and quite difficult to get along with because she is so stiff". Louise was very conservative and raised her children rather strict. She never quite fit into the happy, fun-loving...

    Queen Louise of Denmark (1851 - 1926)

This IS Quuen Louise, Aunt Swan as she was known in the family, in later years. She was never very attractive looking. Here she is, looking quite lovely, with her sister-in-law Thyra, around the time of her marriage. NOTE: This image was posted sometime ago by a friend on another forum. It...
