On April 1st, 1993, the father of His Majesty King Juan Carlos I passed away at the University Hospital of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain. The Count of Barcelona had battled cancer for many years. Peter and Autumn Phillips, the son and daughter-in-law of The Princess Royal, welcomed their second daughter on Thursday March 29th. The infant was born at the Gloucestershire Royal Infirmary, and has been named Isla Elizabeth. She weighed 3.28kilograms. She joins elder sister Savannah, fifteen months. Isla is the second grandchild of Princess Anne, and the second great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II.

Barcelona – March 28th Her Royal Highness Infanta Cristina, Duchess of Palma de Mallorca attended the opening of the Epidemic Exhibition at the CosmoCaixa Science Museum in Barcelona. The late King of Tonga, George Tupou V, was buried today following a state funeral in the South Pacific nation’s capital, Nuku’alofa.
