Earlier today, Japanese Prince Akishino and his wife Princess Kiko attended an annual memorial service at Tokyo’s Chidorigafuchi National Cemetery. During the service, the Prince and Princess prayed for the 2,498 unidentified soldiers who died during World War II. The ceremony was sponsored by the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry. Over the weekend, Crown Princess Victoria took part in the voluntary defense education and training military in Berga. The military weekend gives young women and men the chance to take part in military training and activities. Princess Victoria got to try basic medical treatment, drove a military car and joined with over 30 other volunteers in different activities. The Crown Princess also watched a shooting demonstration.
