Princess Marie was accompanied by her husband, Prince Joachim, and their children to the Tonder Festival this afternoon. had announced that Princess Marie would be attending the event with no other royals mentioned. The royals were joined by family friends and their children. The Princess has been patron of the Tønder Festival since 2009. Tønder Festival is a folk music festival which takes place in August.

This year, the ‘Cheer up’ Foundation celebrates it’s 20th anniversary and is a foundation that helps chronically ill child to attend a fun day, the day also includes the whole family. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark opened the Psychiatry Hospital in Slagelse on Monday morning. During the opening, Mary cut the ribbon and was then shown around the new hospital including the pool, gym and kitchen area.
