True. And I do not think that Norway will become a republic. At least not in my lifetime. Having a monarchy and being the kingdom of Norway is a big part of our history. Perhaps we could even say that it's part of our identity. The fact that we don't seem to 'care' about the monarchy just shows...

I must say that the portraits of the Queen it the first post are not very flattering. But I know nothing about art, and I seem to remember reading something about the Queen loving them. They certainly are spesial:)
