It is really all just relative. I am also American, so I think, "Oh wow he has no accent." In general I am always amazed at how well all Scandanavians speak English; not just their vocabulary or mastery of the language but by their lack of a strong vernacular accent (does that make sense?)...
It is very bizarre - one would think that a story like that would have gotten a lot more press if there was even a small element of truth to it.
That being said - the school that CP attended is definitely not for kids with learning issues. It is very academically rigorous.
Actually, it is a very academically rigorous school - my husband interviewed there once. That is odd then - considering that Carl Philip does have learning issues....
This has probably been discussed at some point - but I was wondering whether anyone knew why Carl Philip was sent to boarding school in America at such a young age?
I know there have been discussions on this before (I just can't find any) but how well does CP speak English? Didn't he attend school in America when he was younger?

I don't think this applies anymore because Queen Silvia was a commoner. The King had to wait until his grandfather died and he ascended the throne before he could marry her, but he did marry her. Neither crown prince in Denmark or Norway married women with royal backgrounds either.

I have always loved Sophie. She has such a natural beauty about her. However, sometimes I think she looks much dowdier than she really is. Maybe she is just not that obsessed with clothes, and has more important things to think about :)
