General Questions & Random Facts about the British Royal Family

Peter’s birth was posted at the gates of Buckingham Palace and there was a 41 gun salute at the Tower of London, but that was because he was the first grandchild of the reigning monarch. I think these traditions have much more to do with the relation to the current or future monarch than where...

    Baby Cambridge: Musings and Suggestions

I think I might be crazy, because I've watched a couple of these videos of the event and I can't even figure out when it is she says "I'll give it to" anything... Now I'm hoping it's a boy, though. :D

    Precedence - Who Outranks Who?

Well William followed The Duke of Edinburgh at the Remembrance Day service last year while Charles was absent. That could just be an exception, but I can't remember any occasion where either Wales boy followed their uncles.

    Bowing and Curtseying

I once read that back in the '50s and '60s the rumour was that the Duke of Edinburgh would smile at you when you curtseyed if he found you unattractive. So many of the ladies started to bow their heads because they didn't want to see if he smiled at them.

    Succession to the Crown Act 2013, Part 1: 2011 - Sep 2022

That is much more succinct than I expected! I like that they went for children born after October 28, 2011, as opposed to only the descendants of The Prince of Wales. It's much more tidy this way. So when this is passed, it would mean that Tane Lewis would move below his older sister Sienna...

Prince Philip's Former Greek Citizenship and Greek and Danish Titles

I have a question that's likely more easily answered than the one that's being discussed, haha. I was reading Prince Philip's Titles & Styles page on Wikipedia today, and it has him listed as: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_titles_and_honours_of_Prince_Philip,_Duke_of_Edinburgh My...

The Duchess of Cornwall Current Events 13: January 2010-September 2013

Wow, that portrait is certainly... interesting. It's a shame considering the beautiful portrait he did of The Queen Mother. I also really love Andrew's portrait and The Duchess of Gloucester's. Margaret's would have been great if the shading on the face would've been a bit better.

Prince Philip's Former Greek Citizenship and Greek and Danish Titles

That's fine, but do you also take his opinion over the monarchy itself? On their website it states rather clearly that Prince Philip renounced his Danish and Greek titles.
