Has there ever been a memoir published by a public figure which has done such catastrophic damage to the reputation of its author? There probably has but I struggle to think of one.
I mean, this has been an utter disaster for Harry and, to a lesser extent, Meghan. Forget all the tabloid...
There have been many public figures, and private ones too, remarking how 'king-like' William was with this statement. I think he was deeply impressive and many have remarked that they feel heartened to know that he will one day be our King.
I actually genuinely worry for Charles and his wellbeing right now. He worked for decades to make a difference to his nation and rebuild his reputation from the gutter, only for his own son to take a wrecking ball to the whole thing in the space of a few weeks and with a kind of cruel glee...
This interview proves definitively that Harry doesn't really care about mental health. No one who cares about improving the mental health of others would do to his father and grandmother what Harry did here.
So just as Harry faked being interested in the normal folk he met during all those...
Even just 6 months ago I would've said pigs were far more likely to fly than Harry was to give Oprah a prime-time interview trashing his entire family and his nation while his grandfather lay dying in hospital. I would've said it was more likely for cows to swim the Channel than it was for...
Something to keep in mind in terms of Camilla becoming Queen is that these polls don't really tell us how strongly the public feel about it. They may say she shouldn't be Queen in an anonymous poll but what does that mean in reality?
Going back to 2005 I'm sure a majority of respondents...
Isn't it strange that all these leaks and briefings, which we've been told on several occasions in this thread originate from the dastardly Charles/William/insert RF member name here, seem to differ so wildly? Odd one
Funding round-the-clock security in one of the most expensive...
The Kate crying article was such a non-entity at the time I'd actually forgotten about it until the interview. My group of friends and work colleagues ranging in ages from 20-45 literally never talked about it at the time and I'd wager a good 90% of the British people would say it never even...
I'm sorry but thinking that the RF can stop 'leaks' is completely ludicrous and utterly unrealistic. How do they do it? How would this 'professional formal inquiry' figure out which of the staff members (of which there are hundreds across the households) are responsible for the 'leaks'...
I think I made it pretty clear that my opinion is that's the likely outcome. Therefore it's my educated guess or prediction based on my understanding of public opinion in the UK when it comes to the royals and the way the British press reacts to the RF. Also it's based to a lesser extent on on...
Very well said. Whatever the reality, as has always been the case with the royal family, it's not really the facts that matter but the perception. The perception of the York girls is almost universally bad, even though they both work and are not directly supported in any way by the public...
I see Harry's driving an Audi. I know he's not the first member of the RF to go for an Audi but there's really no excuse for driving a German car, particularly now with Brexit about to happen. We need to be supporting our British brands who employ thousands of British workers. It's not as if...
The idea that Kate was somehow exempted from much tabloid criticism in the UK after she married could be the most incredible historical revisionism I've seen on this board.
Kate was and is criticised for almost everything she is/does/says, including after the wedding. Criticism was also...
