The train from her back collar was removed at some point because you can see in a comparison with this picture before the ceremony Photo from Reuters Pictures and this picture after the ceremony Photo from Reuters Pictures.
I bet she was glad to have that big train removed. That looked heavy!
2nd train
I just loved Charlenes's dress; I thought everything about her was so elegant. And what a stunning dress and tiara she wore afterwards. Perfect!
I am curious though, at what point in the ceremony did she detach the upper train? I was watching the wedding here and there while I did...
I'm so excited to hear there will be a wedding. Can't wait to see all the lovely outfits and tiaras in the coming months! She seems very lovely and I wish them the best. I've seen only a few pictures of Marie and once a video (she handled herself very well I thought). I am eager to see what she...
When you did the side-by-side comparison did you use the photo of Anne Marie and the Christie's photo? The photo of the jewelry just below Anne Marie's picture is the same as the item for sale at Christies so don't use that for the comparison.
I don't believe they are the same necklace. Let me see if I can describe this. If we look at the design of the necklace it is like a braid. The "inner" part of the braid connects with other parts of the inner braid and the "outer" parts of the braid don't touch other outer parts...
I don't think it's the same dress, but it is probably from the same bolt of silk cloth. I remember seeing an interview (translated to english) where the seamstress talked about how nervous she was when cutting the material for Princess Masako's dress. Apparently the material was very special and...

I was at a friend's house last week for a jewelry party. There was a game we played where we had to guess how many pairs of shoes the host owned. She said it was 34! Off the top of my head I would say I own about 20. This includes sneakers, sandals, boots, etc. So I would say that 27 is not an...
Naruhito and Masako commemorative stamp
Look what I found when cleaning my basement. My husband must have gotten it from one of his relatives in Japan. The first picture is the outside cover. The second picture is the stamp with explanation in japanese and english.
I thought her dress and veil were beautiful. I think the tiara would have looked a lot better if the base were covered with something that matched her hair color. That dark brown covering is too obvious.
