The president of the Royal Association of Leiria-Fátima classifies the use of D. Duarte Pio on posters for a supermarket in Ourém, as "an unfortunate misunderstood". The posters, where the Duke of Bragança appears along with the add "Modelo", had been placed in Ourém shortly before Christmas, but they were removed a week later, by the marketing department of this supermaket chain.
For the Royal Association of Leiria-Fátima, the Town Hall abusively used the Count of Ourém's name and photo for non-specified purposes. However, the Mayor says that, since the begining, the Royal Association knew the intention was to use D. Duarte's image for a marketing campaign of Sonae about the "Portuguese wonders".
