Designers give away loads of their stuff to even the most marginal socialites. You hardly have to be famous or known at all to get fashion freebies, just so long as you wear the stuff lots out and about to the hip parties, that is what they want. So someone like Beatrice would get lots of freebies I imagine. I guess, however, she should have tried to get a good fit, but maybe she was desperate to make it work because she likes it.... It is a very nice dress. Just that ruddy annoying bit about slipping down!
