According to 'Metro' newspaper the judge forbade him to make any public comments on the matter before the verdict. If he does he can be locked up in prison (theoretically).

If "common" people like you or I needed to appear in court, yes, we would go when we are told to. I was just guessing that maybe some "strings were pulled" to get this particular date, but you are probably right Marengo, it is just a coincidence.
What a laugh that Edwin would come with bodyguards, but then, I guess he has made lots of enemies (although he is probably his own worst enemy).
