Saw in Majesty that the Gloucester auction at Christie's raked in over £5,000000. Apparently every item went for far more than it was worth due to the Royal connection. One silver rose bowel estimated at between £2,000-3,000 went for £26,000 so that gives you an idea of the scale of the profit that's been made after the death duties are settled.
