If you look at any of the countless number of photographs of Grace without make up on you will see she was remarkably attractive even before she applied the first touch of make up. I wouldn't say she was ever plain or unattractive. Even in her youth she was beautiful both with and without her make up. If Grace had one flaw it was that her jaw was too square.
