A new yahoo group has been created to provide a forum for discussing
His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan because I believe he is the most important ruler in the world today. Given the political and religious climate around the globe, and how this is reflected in current events, there is no leader more critical to creating a better future that we can all enjoy. This group was just created on the King's 42nd birthday (which happens to also be my 33rd birthday) and will quickly become THE source for you to find photos, transcripts of His speeches, details of royal activities, as well as various pieces of history and cogent analysis concerning Abdullah, Jordan, Islam, and the Middle East in general. My intent is to use this group to broaden our understanding of one another and the world, in the spirit of His Majesty. All relevant discussion is welcome, respectful criticism as well as praise. The more diverse opinions, the better. Building a better future is something we all have a responsibiliy to take part in, so please, come and join us! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Abdullah_Rules/ |

Videos of Queen Rania 1. State visit to Norway - April 2000 I believe this video is of Queen Sonja and Queen Rania visiting a hospital. Towards the end there's a very cute scene of a little boy who first bows to Queen Rania, they tries to curtsey, then bows again! Its so funny how QR handles the situation, she's trying to caress his hair but the little boy's too fast for her.:p 2. from a few years ago - Say Yes PSA for UNICEF 3. March 21, 2001 - Queen Rania speaks to youth Pictures of this event They explain all the whistling and chanting! not that the Queen appeared to mind, the crowd seems to love her. The video is in Arabic btw. 4. June 3, 2005 - Today Show with Katie Couric Interview taken during Queen Rania's trip to the US in late May 2005. Towards the end, little Prince Hashem also makes an appearance. 5. October 2005 - UNICEF PSA for Pakistani earthquake The PSA is in Arabic but there's a script in English at this link. 6. November 11, 2005 - Good Morning America Queen Rania is interviewed by Diane Sawyer, 2 days after the bombings in Amman. 7. May 14, 2004 - Queen Rania of Jordan, IOF patron, delivers message of support for the opening of IOF World Congress of Osteoporosis in Rio de Janeiro - Video |
