She is so natural with parents & children. You can see she genuinely connects with them & to me, visits like these show Catherine at her best.

I was just about to post the same thing! Catherine is at her best with children and young people, and today's visit was no exception. Whilst she still seems nervous at public speaking (though she has greatly improved on that front since she first married into the family), she's quite the opposite with the public.

It looks like Catherine is on maternity leave as well. Her last public engagement was on March 28th.
Does anyone know when we will see her in public again?

The children have been on term break and the family decamped to Norfolk. We may see William & Kate in Windsor for Easter, but Kate’s next engagement is the Anzac Service on April 25.

Most independent schools closed on 28 or 29 March for Spring Break and schools reopen after Easter next week, so expect to see her back on the beat!

Great news & well deserved after 8 years. I was hoping she'd get her sash before the next event & she has!

Fantastic news and a very well deserved honor for the Duchess of Cambridge.

HereditaryPrincess 04-29-2019 04:34 PM

Very well deserved indeed. I remember there was a discussion about whether or not Catherine will get the order a couple of years back here so it's lovely to see that she's been given it today. I like that the orders seem to coincide with their royal recipient's wedding anniversaries; a nice touch. It would seem that HM and Catherine have a very good relationship which is lovely to see.

I'm so glad that she's continued to work with this organization to bring a nature and wildlife experience to urban families.

Yes me too. I'd love to see this work become a larger part of what she does & that she's able to champion the need for environmental protection that's been highlighted by Prince Charles for decades.

“The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to take the salute at the Household Division's Beating Retreat tonight. The magnificent evening of musical celebration and military precision drill takes place each year before Trooping The Colour.”

This is an interesting one tonight.

This is exciting!!! I love unexpected appearances by the Duchess of Cambridge. Will we get to see this or will it be private?
