japan is such an amazing country - i am very much looking forward to this state visit! fantastic timing to go too, as i believe it is cherry blossom season. i wonder if felipe and letizia have some cherry blossom sightings in their schedule or maybe they can go incognito to catch a glimpse of it if the schedule allows... :)
|
With the time difference they have made a mistake in the web of Casa Real, the events are 5, 6 and 7.
They will see the cherry trees on the last day. The Japanese government has always wanted to keep the same dates for the trip (last year and this year) for that reason. |
They will have a full day of travel on plane to Japan. Will it be 7 hours on board? More? When they arrive in Japan it will be already the 4th, since they haven't departed yet from Spain and in Japan it's 6pm right now.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan listed orders for King Felipe, Queen Letizia, and members of the Spanish delegation.
Foreigner's recipient list Heisei 29 | Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (Google's translation wasn't great so I looked up the characters on Japanese wiki.) https://twitter.com/MofaJapan_jp/sta...13923897868292 Supreme Order of the Chrysanthemum, Collar for the King Order of the Precious Crown for the Queen various Order of the Rising Sun for others |
Pretty standard. The sovereign is awarded the chrysanthemum. The consort depends on gender. Henrik and Claus recieved the order of the paulownia flowers. Since 2003 it has been its own order, but at the time both men recieved it, it was the highest rank of the order of the rising sun. Philip seems odd one out, that he has the chrysanthemum. Letizia is getting the same order as other female consorts like her mother in law and Silvia.

did they landed yet or they are still on the airplane ?!
