"Bernard, Scoundrel of Orange" - Dutch TV Series (2010)

So I found this rambling thru IMDB.....I am gonna assume it was Dutch movie, sounds interesting to say the least. Is it any good?

An older prince Bernhard is telling his life story to Princess Maxima.

Sorry, never heard of it. :-)

It is a television series:

Bernhard, schavuit van Oranje - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is rather fictional, Thomas Ross was the scenario writer and he usually uses all the wildest gossips he can find for his projects, even/especially when they are incorrect.

Indeed, it was painful to watch, as are most series about the royal family, the budget is simply toolow and the actors often too mediocre (though Ellen Vogel played in this series).

Still, notas painful as Albert II that they are showing now on BRT1.

Well, it did win 'best screenplay in a tv drama series' at the dutch film festival and screenplay and actors received a few more nominations at film festivals.
It did contain some historic inaccuracies though (it wasn't intended as a biography anyway), although probably not as bad as 'the Tudors' :-)
I think overall it had quite good reviews
