***King hosts lunch banquet on the occasion of Prince Ali's wedding</FONT></STRONG> Pet1629 4 0545 ***King hosts lunch banquet on the occasion of Prince Ali's wedding Amman/ Sept. 5/ (Petra)--Celebrating the wedding of His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein and Ms Rym Al-Brahimi, His Majesty King Abdullah II, Sunday hosted a lunch banquet attended by Jordanian dignitaries, tribal leaders, refugee camp representatives, members of the diplomatic corps, senior Jordanian officials and representatives of youth and sports organizations. The banquet, held on the grounds of Bani Hashem, at the Royal Court, was also attended by Dubai heir apparent and United Arab Emirates Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed Al Maktum and the Arab renowned diplomat, Al-Akhdar Al-Brahimi, father of Ms. Rym Al-Brahimi. In a welcoming statement, His Majesty King Abdullah hailed members of the one Jordanian family. " I'm extremely happy to be with you on this good day and to meet these good faces, who have come from all parts of the our dear Kingdom to share us our joy of Prince Ali's wedding," the King said. King Abdullah also welcomed people from the Arab countries and members of the diplomatic corps who came to congratulate the Royal Family on this happy occasion. " Allow me to welcome Arab friends and brothers, in particular, Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed Al Maktum, whom I deeply respect and appreciate and Al-Akhdar Al-Brahimi and members of the diplomatic corps who came to join us on this occasion," the King said. Prince Ali, who was engaged to Ms Rym on 23rd of last April, was born on 23rd December, 1973. He is currently leader of the private security group of His Majesty King Abdullah. The group is an affiliate of the Royal Guard Brigade. Prince Ali is also President of the Jordanian Football Union. In response to Prince Ali and Ms Rym's desire not to hold reception on the occasion of their marriage, King Abdullah has ordered that food and livelihood provisions be distributed to needy Jordanian families throughout the Kingdom. On Aug. 31 the Royal Hashemite Court distributed food supplies sufficient for six months, to thousands of needy families in the governorates, the badia and refugee camps. If those are the only pictures we are going to see, then I definitely feel cheated...I have been so excited about this wedding on to be disappointed....And then on top of everything, Mo is in 2 or 3 of the pictures that is available...I don't want to see Mo...I am going to see plenty of him when he and haya celebrate...I want to see Rym and Ali...what happened to it being all about them?

isnt this a banquet for men only? Im sure they're going to have one with the women of the family present as well and then maybe we'll get to see more interesting pictures

I believe the wedding is on September 8th, this was just a guy thing (sorta like a bachelor party, not the very good one though). You'll probably see pictures of Ali and Rym tomorrow, if that is when the wedding is. Anyone confirm that for me?
