Why isn't the King Commander in Chief?

I was just reading on Wikipedia I just find it odd that a head of state is not Commander in Chief of the armed forces.

Most countries the head of state is Commander in Chief!

It's almost like the Swedish Monarchy is semi abolished!

The King was up until the adoption of the constitution of 1975.

Well you´re almost right there - there was a famous quote from primeminister at the time (70s) Olof Palme that the monarchy was only a pencil mark from being abolished. So i guess that we should be happy that Sweden still is a monarchy, even though severly weakened. The Socialdemocratics went a little to far imo when they "modernised" the Swedish government and constitution.
