I think there are people who are able to wear lace and look great in it. I love Catherine's lace dresses (though the black is not one of my favorites). Madeleine looks lovely in lace as does Princess Letizia.

Let me state for the record-
I am not comparing Catherine to Diana- just sharing two lace dresses worn by royal ladies which I love!;)

The pink lace dress that Catherine wore on Tuesday was absolutely stunning. I was in love with it. Very chic and a bit on the retro side (I think the hat helped create that effect). I think Diana's white lace gown is very swanky and glamorous. However, I don't think just anyone could pull it off. Some women may come out looking rather ridiculous, while Diana rocks it.
