Princess Pauline Borghese née Bonaparte (1780-1825), sister of Napoleon

Pauline led a pretty scandalous life... ignoring conventions
and living for pleasure....
"she brought masses of clothes, attended party after party
and prompted vast amounts of gossip from France's upper classes..........
"

Life is not a rehearsal... lets live for today....
lets drink life's pleasures to the full !

Pauline died age 44

The Imperial Venus was loyal, at least.

(She was the only one of Napoleon's siblings who made no demands on him).

The Emperor Napoleon I first abdicated in 1814.
He went into exile on Elba.
Pauline visited Napoleon during his exile.
She urged her brother to make a return to power. :napoleon:
In 1806 Pauline was pleased to be told that Napoleon I was to create her Princess and Duchess of Guastalla.
However when she learned that Guastalla was a small town in the province of Reggio, she complained to Napoleon that she wanted "a proper state".
Pauline eventually accepted Guastalla. She kept the title and sold the duchy for finances.
