More from BT about M&F going to Australia: Nu skal de royale tvillinger til Australien - Royale - BT.dk

Apparantly the paper Herald Sun wrote about it the other day and that has had an immediate effect.

Mary is patron of the Allanah and Madeline Foundation and she will attend the fundraiser Allanah and Madeline Starry Starry Night event. Which will take place on 26. November.
There are 1.000 seats for that event and now suddenly there is a big interest in going to this fundraiser.

Perhaps Australian members can provide more details?

(Post to be moved).

In reference to your post Muhler, here is a link to the Alannah and Madeline Foundation website that outlines the function the Crown Prince and Crown Princess are to attend in Melbourne.

I understand there is a thread dedicated to the Australian visit but it appears to be locked. I will do some more reseach in local media and see what I can find if there is interest amongst other members?

I think the search is on in Sydney for youngsters called Vincent and Josephine...because I remember the last time the CPC was in Australia for this event, the little girl whose task it was to present the Princess with flowers was an 'Isabella'...Someone can find the video for me...So I think some serious scouting is going on to find two kids, one boy, one girl around 5-8 years old, called Vincent or Josephine...Sweet touch and lets hope I am right?

Lady Rosie 09-18-2011 07:01 AM

Australia's Prime Minister names dates for visit.

Here is a report about dates and cities to be visited by the Crown Prince and Crown Princess in Australia.

Princess Mary to visit Australia in November - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

I am in the middle of Sydney and Canberra so am trying to decide where to go to see them. AnnaNotherThing, I do not have a Josephine or Vincent unfortunately!

I add the post to this thread as Australian Tour thread locked. Please move if required.

All the press are also reporting that they will be bringing Vincent and Josephine with them, but nothing has been confirmed about Christian and Isabella. This article says that a Royal Court spokesperson confirmed to AAP that the twins will come for the whole visit, and Christian and Isabella will come to Australia with Frederik upon his return from Vietnam.

AnnaNotherThing 11-13-2011 03:57 PM

Thanks for the link for the tree planting...I have entered the ballot with no idea how I will make it happen if I am successful...Canberra is an 8 hour drive from where I live, my husband would be reluctant to take time off work for such a thing too...and a long road trip with four kids in tow is a big ask...But you gotta be in it to win it ;)

Lady Rosie 11-13-2011 05:36 PM

AnnaNotherThing,I've entered too. I'm between Sydney and Melbourne. You have a further drive. But lets hope we are successful. It would be a wonderful thing to see the Crown Prince Couple.

Waiting to see a Sydney itinerary?

Thank you for the program, looks very busy for the couple. Im looking forward to the BBQ, would be interesting and quite different form all events we have seen. Seems casual yet formal in a way.

Dazz, it seems BBQs are the 'in-thing' to give to dignitaries visiting Australia in recent times - Queen Elizabeth got one on her trip last month, and I'm pretty sure Prince William got one when he came at the beginning of the year.

Lady Rosie 11-17-2011 10:44 PM

Thank you JessRulz for the programme. Hoping to get to Sydney on Sunday. My husband will need to entertain our two children for a few hours on the Harbour:smile: AnnaNotherThing have you heard from the Canberra ballot?

AnnaNotherThing 11-18-2011 02:37 AM

No Rosie...I think it is a no-go...it was only open to 500 people and I think the preference was for Canberra-ians (?) ...So I am sure more than 500 Canberra residents applied and that is the pool they chose from...If there was a lack of numbers, I think they would have opened it up to some interstate ring-ins ;)
