I' ve found this link about Abdullah I: it seems he visited Spain... I had no idea!

Jordan's King Abdullah I visit Spain - YouTube

Kleio 12-05-2011 06:40 PM

In the video, they don´t say when the visit was, but I think it was probably in 1949. Why? In the video they talk about the visit of Abdullah I, King of Jordan. Abdullah I's coronation was on May 1946 and he was assassinated on July 1951. In Wikipedia, they say the King had amongst his Honours the Grand Cross of the Order of Military Merit of Francoist Spain that he received in 1949, I guess during this visit... In the video, they explain he was accompanied by his son, Prince Naif, and several Ministers. He visited La Coruña, Málaga, Granada... And when he left Spain, his destination was Beirut.

It was interesting to learn that in 1920, the Iraqi Congress proclaimed Abdullah constitutional king of Iraq.
However Abdullah declined to be King of Iraq.
