Alexis celebrated his 18th birthday just this past December (2009).

Royalty author Marlene Koenig has posted a summary of this sad event along with a picture of the young prince on her blog - Royal Musings: Alexis killed on same street as his grandfather

Where can I find a picture of him ? How horrible it is !

Here are some photographs of Alexis in N et R. He was the second son of Archduchess Sophie of Austria and Prince Mariano Hugo of Windisch-Graetz.

Profoundly sad.

Yes, it is profoundly sad. To lose a child is tragedy, but his parents gave life to others by organ donation despite their grief.

I once read that prince Mariano Hugo has a charge in the papal court, but just in one source of no great attendibility. Do someone know something about that?

tdarlene 02-11-2010 09:18 AM

My condolences to the Windisch-Graetz-family.

As far as I remember, he is Gentiluomo di Sua SantitÓ (Gentleman of His Holiness).

The coffin has been escorted by the friends and the members of the motorbike club joined by Alexis, obviously by motorbike.

The spanish magazine HOLA dedicated some pages to this sad story:

Esta semana en ┬íHOLA!: Tragedia en la vida de Sof├*a de Habsburgo

Martha 02-17-2010 11:02 AM

I haven┤t found funeral┤s pictures. I suppose only Hola magazine has images. Because Sophia worked for Hola.

frank22 02-17-2010 07:38 PM

Yes, HOLA and Point de Vue have the images in their magazines of this week. Check Point de Vue:

Princess Vittoria zu Windisch-Graetz attended this night "I soliti ignoti" game show (the italian version of "Identity" game show), broadcasted on RaiUno; she attended as impostor, and was one of the impostors correctly guessed by the player.

Priest008 03-30-2010 04:04 PM

truly sad, for the family to loose their son, lets hope and pray for his soul. Death is a wonderful thing when you are in God's grace, what better place to be than in the constant presence of God? RIP
