Oh yes, absolutely,I am very much aware of that,I feel very priviliged.I am.
It never is a blasé affair, each and every time again.

Just what a pity your recent visit here didn't coincide with the opening of the Hermitage. It is absolutely stunning indeed.

Gorgeous photos, Lucien! Thank you for posting them. The court dresses and the throne are like something out of a dream. Hopefully, I will be able to visit it next year.

Ah, I see Maxima borrowed a part of the suit of Sesame street's Pino.... her dfaughters must have inspired her.

The opening was very nice, I just saw it all.

Sigh... I take it back. Maxima , she looks as if she has been attacked by a cross between a purple shag carpet and a wooly mammoth.

Jeez. That makes it even worse....

susan alicia 06-19-2009 10:09 PM

and her roots, a bit is ok but this does not look good

Empress 06-19-2009 10:12 PM

I said it in the fashion thread, and will reiterate it here:

My husband says she looks like a baboon, and is only missing the red butt. To which I responded, well, I guess she could wear red pants, and complete the image. Not the nicest ocmparison, but definitely had me laughing!

My thoughts, exactly. This whole look is very 'pro' in appearance and not at all becoming of Maxima. I to be honest don't often find many of her fashion choices very appealing anyway, but this is a real dissapointment.

The only elegant attribute would be her hair. It looks lovely when styled like this and she wears it well.

Lumutqueen 06-20-2009 11:40 AM

The event was nice it's nice to see Russia participating in joint events. Maxima looks awful and does look like the character out of sesame street. :( but very very tall. Make up makes it worse aswell. :flowers:
