Does anyone know what time of day was Guillaume born?

Nitefeatherz 10-03-2009 12:27 AM

Silly question (or maybe not.) gouvernement.lu has his title as "S.A.R. le Grand-duc hérétier."

I know the Grand-duc hérétier in English is Hereditary Grand Duke... but what does the S.A.R. stand for and what does it mean exactly in English? (I realize it's probably a version of his royal highness...just looking for more precise information because I'm curious.)

S.A.R. le Grand-Duc héritier

Dani90 10-03-2009 12:31 AM

S.A.R stands for Son Altesse Royale. It's English for His/Her Royal Highness

Thanks. I figured that's what it was but I wanted to know what it meant not translated into english. :)

grace marie 10-27-2009 02:24 PM

It was somewhere in another thread (probably in Royals height in Chic Chat) that something between 175-180 cm.

If you follow this link theres a whole disscussion on guillaume and his brothers height. No-one knows for sure how tall he is, but as Grace Marie stated, hes between 175-180cm. http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...ml#post1010688 hope this helps ;)

A woman (on another forum) who met him said he's about 5'9 or 5'10 tall. So that would be 175+ cm tall. :flowers:

thedittybopper 11-25-2009 07:48 AM

yes I read that too thank goodness were a little closer to knowing his actual height :)

Does anyone know about HGD's work load:question: It's nearly the end of the year but we haven't seen photos of many different events yet.

:previous: I just posted pictures of Prince Guillaume on his recent trip to the States in this thread : http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums...8-a-19088.html

princessealiénor 11-27-2009 04:20 AM

The HGD currently holds the rank of Captain in the Luxembourg Army.

He nows holds the rank of Major => Cour grand-ducale de Luxembourg - Le Grand-Duc héritier

Lighthouse 11-27-2009 05:01 AM

:previous: Yes that's interesting but may I ask, does he serve (as in regularly report for duty)?:flowers:

princessealiénor 12-04-2009 10:05 PM

I think that he serves like a soldier in the reserve.

sunshine_93 12-08-2009 02:32 PM

Great news ! Thanks princessalienor! :)
Wish him only the best!

princessealiénor 12-11-2009 12:46 AM

You welcome sunshine 93, don't forget: I'm not certain of that! principaly because of that :"His duties include Honorary Chairman, Board of Economic Development of Luxembourg". So that why he is still in the army (as a future commander of the armed force) and may have an agenda like a soldat of the reserve.

Torresita 02-09-2011 08:39 AM

Since I'm not able to apply my little knowledge of French and German on his name,
how should it be pronounced??
Thanks for the answer.
