Chelsy Davy's Fashion and Style Part 1: May 2008 -
 

Thread about the fashion of Prince Harry's long term girlfriend Chelsy (thought it was abit unfair to make a distinction between Kate and Chelsy so i started this thread)

have to admit never really seen much style in Chelsy's fashions but she was in attendance at the cermony to mark Harry and other soldiers receiving their campaign medal for service in Afghanistan on 5 May 2008 and for the first time she actually wore something quite nice!!

Good idea to give Chelsy her own style thread. She looked very polished at Harry's award ceremony in contrast to her usual more hip, young style. Here are some examples:

Having two attractive long legged blond neices just a little older that Chelsey I find myself liking what I see. She seems natural and unaffected and has a really terrific casual style. Her formal wear may do with a little up-scaling but except for the red off-the-sholder thing, her style reflects her preferences and she is not trying to be someone she is not.

I don't see any great change in her stlye of dress and think the "change" is more about where she is than who she is. Her jewelry is understated, but she seems to favour a couple of sets of earrings she appears in regularly.

a picture in the telegraph showed a full lenght version but i cant find it but she wore a black and cream or white (i cant see the exact colour) patterend dress to below her knee with black slingbacks it was really elegant and much nicer than Kate's outfit that day

Chelsey looks very polished, appropriate to her age, a pretty young woman (very different to the lady on her right, by the way).

I thought she looked wonderful and I especially liked her fascinator, (I wish they still called the Whimsys as it is a much more personal description of the particular choice). I see she was wearing her trademark earrings too.

I sew a full length shot. It was a pretty dress but why wear a black jacket & a black & white/creamy dress to a wedding, not my cup of tea especially when its spring. The hat was nice but I think it didnt sit on her head in the right place.

Yes there was black, in fact one photo of a guest arriving showed her wearing unrelieved black. Chic but definitely funereal, I loved the skirt, it was femine without being fussy and her whole look was put together really well. But, while I like her hair down, I would love to have seen her with an up-do and whimsy. Now that would be something! :smile:

i love her dress but i wish her hat was further forward its not just right but she showed she can be classy, elegant and stylish wee done chelsy

I simply love the dress. Great fashion choice. I also quite like the little hatpiece- it matches her dress perfectly.
I actually liked her outfit-choice much better then Kate's. ;)

I think both young ladys look great like always! They are two totaly diffrent people with two diffrent styles and each pulls off their own!!! That Hello spread sure has alot of pictures of KM and CD in it wonder if that was planed?? What do you think?
