I'm from Australia (Hence Opal) with roots from the Baltic /Germanic Regions (Hence Amber).

I'm trying to close the gap between by last family records and working my way from the other end - hoping to find the bridge that may help to close the gap. Unfortunately many records were destroyed during the wars - in both an act of reckless vandalism and self preservation from exile and execution. Each year I get a little closer - and I have enjoyed the adventure.

I'm an educated lady with many passions, interests and some say talents too. I love animals, travelling, sailing and wines... it will be interesting to join in the forums and learn new things.

Oh and if you must know - my favourite colours are Turquoise - favourite metal is Gold - favourite icecream flavour is Licquorice!
