They seem to be very serious and she is not from England so I am wondering how they met.

I'm pretty sure they met at a club in South Africa when Harry was there for his Gap year...they've been together for quite a while now though! They appear to be very happy, good for them too, I'm sure it's not always easy, but they seem to be finding away to remain happy with one another!

Chelsy attended a school in England (Cheltenham Ladies College) which is not far from Highgrove and they are supposed to have met sometime during her time there.

According to their friends (or those, who spoke to the Press), they started dating in early 2004. According to them, Harry and Chelsy met at the night club in South Africa.

What a story meeting a prince in a club. Mary and Chelsy really lucked out!
I think they are a darling couple and I wish them well!
She looks like a fun girl that could keep him on his toes!

There was a part of a documentary regarding chelsy posted on youtube in which it was said that while Harry was on his gap year in SA he went to a club, where he was partying in the vip section, and that he looked down to the croud and saw chelsy dancing close to the vip area and liked her very much. He then asked someone to invite her to the vip and then it all happened.
Ofcourse all this is quoted from an unoficial source.

They met through their respective schools in the UK,Eton and Chelteham Ladies College, both being single sex they have social occasions where single sex schools of the opposite gender meet up. They knew each other socially and when Harry was on his Gap Year in Africa, he 'looked her up' in South Africa and their relationship started from there.

How Harry met Chelsy, it sounds like a great title for a movie someday :lol: But it is definitely an interesting question, I didn't know either.

What I have read about this is similar. I read that they met during his gap-year work for AIDS babies in Lesotho. He and friends/colleagues went over to Cape Town to a club and met Chelsy there. One of the friends/colleagues was the Prince of Lesotho who helped him found Sentebale. Maybe the Prince of Lesotho made the introduction. Chelsy's family is part of the elite of South Africa and Zimbabwe, so it's possible I think.

They met during some party in Highgrove that he threw when he was at Eton and she was at her boarding school and she was invited b/c they have mutual friends. After that when he went on his gap year he visited her in SA and went to a club and it happenend from there.

Just out of curiosity, when were they first photographed together?

Harry and Chelsy were first photographed together in November 2004, during an Argentinian polo match.

Good memory! I remember now. Thank you. He was working there, at the polo ranch, during his gap year, and most reports agree that they met sometime in the previous summer. I think they might have been photographed kissing at a polo match in summer 2004 but no one knew her name until Argentina, thank to the *excellent* :rolleyes: reporting skills of the Daily Mail. :biggrin:

what i can say is that harry is a very responsable prince: the same girlfriend all this time, his professional behaviour in the army, his touching speach at diana's service. i except a lot of him for the future.

I read something similiar to what has been posted here; that they were both in a club in South Africa and Harry decided he wanted to get to know her. I had never heard that they met prior to their meeting in the night club, but I believe it's certainly possible.
From what I've read they had mutual friends before that meeting in the nightclub. Chelsy attended two (high)schools in the U.K. before she graduated and went to uni at U.CapeTown. One of them was Cheltenham Ladies college, and I can't remember the other one. I also read that they initially met in 2004, but that could be wrong too. Maybe they met prior to 2004, but they didn't get together until then?
I remember the photos that were taken in Argentina; those were taken in 2004, but they looked very cosy in those photos. Maybe they did know one another prior to 2004.

That is how they met in SA, and how they got together, except it wasn't that he saw her there, it was that one of his friends recognized her in the crowd, and invited her into the VIP area, they all had already met when Chelsy was in England, and it blossumed from there...
