Such popularity is usually fleeting. People often forget that in the aftermath of 9/11 George W. Bush had the highest approval rating of any president on record despite losing the popular vote. He was reelected with a popular majority but still left office with the lowest approval rating of any president since Nixon. Obama's a unique case as the first "Black" president, people are more hesitant to criticize him lest they be accused of racism. However, even in his case and with most presidents with a higher than average degree of popularity the minority that is against them is *really* against them. He certainly has not united everyone, in fact most are more polarized than ever between those who think he can do no wrong and those who think he's turning America into the USSR-American style.

I know, alot of rumours get printed about our royals but it's not as bad as that. I don't think the press dare. That book has been translated into english and I am trying as I might to find a copy
