Good news, Kotroman...I've found you a King, and he is...my one!!! During the Second World War Bosnia was ceded to Croazia, where the King was, technically, Tomislav II, aka Prince Aimone, Duke of Spoleto and later of Aosta, whose son, Amedeo, has inhereited his rights to the Italian throne, and now is the Duke of Savoy and Head of the Italian Royal Family; but, maybe, also the Croatian rights...If you want, we can share a King...

In Italy the Monarchy simply is not considered: Monarchy means fascism, racial laws, and several other negative aspects; and more, VE and EF in these years have done a bad advertising of the monarchy (justice troubles of VE, rash speeches about the past of his family and the connection with fascism, when he said that the racial laws were not so terrible, the indemnity request), so in Italy prevails the idea that Savoy Family Members are good only for dancing and gossip...and it's a pity, since there are people like Prince Amedeo or Princess Maria Gabriella, and in the past like King Umberto and Queen Maria José, who hard work to give a good impression of the Monarchy and of our Royal Family, to make the Monarchy able to be a valid alternative to a disastrous status quo, but also to do this Family justice.

Not yesterday, because only this morning I read the thread about the birth of Prince Umberto; and I'm still waiting to see in Italian medias this news...maybe tomorrow in some gossip show...
I am a strong supporter of the "Aosta Branch" of Savoy Family, altough I think this is the only one; so, excuse me if I make you a little note: EF is only Prince of Venice, the title given him by King Umberto II; the other one was given him by his father, who can't do it...

It's nice of you to say that and I really appreciate it. Many people on TRF do have quite strong opinions but at the same time they take offence quite easily and can be unforgiving at times! therefore, I try to be as calm and civil as possible. You have very strong and clear views on the subject of monarchy which is a good thing and it is much appreciated because of the consistency of your views. Whilst I may not always initially agree with some of your thoughts, they certainly make me think more about my own views on the subject and your opinions have been a useful in helping me to gain a more rounded understanding of the issues being discussed - so thanks for that!
