You're engaged, for real?

I don't know if you've heard, but same-sex marriage was legalized in my state, Iowa, yesterday, so 3 couples I know went to get their licenses and they all plan to be married by a judge who used to go to our church. So I'm going to a triple wedding on Friday! I am pleased for them... although I don't think it makes much difference to their relationships, at least they'll have some legal protection for life issues you'd expect your spouse to participate in.
