Its a girl in my profile picture, the only one I own, her name's Penny Lane. The rest are all male cats, sadly Penny's sister died last winter. That was really hard for me and I indeed have the same feelings as you have - they're like my children.

The kitty in your profile is so cute! I love the markings on his/her fur. I have two siamese cats, and the rest are mixed. One is black and white, and the other two are grey/black/brown striped. I've done the same; over the years, I've taken in strays. They are all like my children (in fact, I actually prefer them to human children). I'll pm a photo of the kitties to you.

I posted one as my profile pic. Yes, we had a "problem" with stray cats in the neighbourhood, so I adopted a few of these cats. Two years ago I had only one house cat, last year it were five and now I got two little babies to them. My housecat is a siamese, what kind of cats do you own?

You're absolutely right! IMO you can learn from animals a lot. I love all sorts of animals but at the moment I'm used to capacity with my 7 kitties.
