Well, actually I've just started my education in Kraków, it was in Oct. Earlier I studied English in Oświęcim, near my hometown, Chełmek. So I have to wait till it gets warmer and sunnier as now the weather is changeable...
But I miss Oświęcim very much (although it has bad association because of the Nazi concentration camps during WW2) as I experienced the best moments of my life there and met lots of friends... This is "a better side" of Oświęcim:

Yes, the Poles celebrate their Independence Day on the 3rd of May and it's a great occasion for each of us to feast. I suppose the same must be in the States on the 4th of July!

Oh, you're so lucky to travel to CA in Dec and to live in such a pretty city like Chicago - (a lot of Poles live there, especially mountainers....)

Wow, sgl, I'll put it on my desktop as a wallpaper - a wonderful view (on the Pacific, I suppose...) You've got real treasures over there in the States... A real paradise!
My great wish is to visit California one day - I wish I could also see THIS with my own eyes...

Yes, I do - travelling broadens the mind as a saying says... Here are Polish mountains and its capital, a mountainous town, Zakopane, I was in last year:
