Default Spanish headwear

Do you know the hat which Queen Sofia and Princess Elena wear at Prince Felippe wed in May?What do they call it?I mean the name of it.Is it the Spanish tradional Royal Wedding hat?It looks like one of the crown of Egypt Queen.

It's a mantilla, very old spanish tradition.
Women wear it at special occasions, like a wedding and also (i think) at funerals.

Women wear it in weddings (usually wear mantilla only the groom´s mother) and during Easter. Too some brides wear mantilla and not veil.
And with the mantilla all women wear the "peineta" http://www.complementosdenovia.com/c...es/peineta.jpg

Is it more religious thing or traditional thing?? coz it's remind me of Muslim's veil. Queen Rania and Moroccan royal lady will wear veil on religious ceremony..
