Royals in National Costume
I love it when members of royal families don their country’s national costumes. Let’s start a thread of pictures devoted to that topic.
Of course the Scandinavians immediately come to mind, but if any of you have photos of royalty from other countries in national costume please post them here.

I've seen pictures of Anne-Marie in similar dress to what Theodora is wearing above, but it was in a book somewhere.

I've been wanting a bunad too, but my family came from Buskerud Co. and the bunads there aren't very colorful. (I guess you could say I'm a 3rd generation!)
Isn't Mette-Merit supposed to be going there soon?

My Grandfather Olaf is from Oslo, he left there 1917 when he was 17 years old, I don't know where my Great Grandfather Johgan is from as of yet...

Bunads are Very Beautiful!!! I more than likely make my own someday soon when I get my own place to live.. I Live in the NorthWest in Oregon for now. My Grandfather Olaf is buried here.. I have been searching for patterns for bunads, but, they are Very hard to find. I guess I should try online at least maybe..
